Headshot FAQ

Where does the session take place?

Our studio is set up to take your professional headshot on a variety of backgrounds, dependent on each individual need.  We are also available to create headshots at your location for an additional fee.

Can I bring someone with me?

Due to current CDC guidelines, our studio is limiting the number of people to the client plus one additional person.

What is included with my session?

Each session is tailored to each individual package.  Most sessions are approximately one hour, and could run as long as 1½ hours, depending on the needs of each individual client.

What if I want to get more than what’s included?

Awesome.  That's what we're here for.  If a session doesn't cover the vision that you have in mind for your portraits, then we can modify as needed.  We want you to be perfectly happy with your portrait, as it is going to be a reflection of who you are on so many platforms.

How do I pick my images?

Your headshot files will be delivered via email.  For larger companies that have numerous images to be delivered, we will use a service such as DropBox or Google Drive for instant delivery.

How long does it take to get my final images?

Images are reviewed and chosen at the time of the session, and the final image files will be delivered within 7 days.

Can I have the RAW files?

RAW files are not color corrected, plus Rebekah Crawley Photography makes your images perfect with blemish removal etc.  By providing you with jpeg files, you have the best file to represent you.

What do I wear?

What you wear depends mainly on what your profession is.  A banker would want to wear what represents them in their position.  A plumber would want to go more industrial, so your targeted client would trust your headshot to represent who you are and what you do.  Items of clothing to steer clear of would be bright neons, plaids, stripes, or patterns.  These would distract from the focal point of the image, which is you.  You would also want to cover as much skin as possible, as shoulders and cleavage would become the focal point of the image.

Should I bring extra clothes?

Sure.  Some of the sessions available allow for a change of clothing and this would give variety to your options once the session is over.

What about hair and makeup?

Hair and makeup should be done when you arrive for your session.  You may want to bring a touchup kit, as a dressing room is available for the minor touches just prior to beginning the session.

What will the images look like?

The images will be well posed and well it in a professional setting.  You will be able to choose between 20-25 images in different poses and clothing options, depending on the session package you purchased.  This will give you numerous options and a variety of images to use across different platforms.

What are my background options?

The studio has several different background options available for you to choose from.  From white, grey, black, and other finer backgrounds, we also have a greenscreen if you want to be placed in another setting.  The possibilities are endless.

What else do I need to know to be ready?

Just be ready to relax and have a great time.  The studio is a very laid back environment with refreshments and lots of good conversation to carry you through your session.  We just want you to be comfortable and enjoy the time that it takes to make you look your best!
